Car Show Coming to Lake St. Clair Metropark

Car enthusiasts can rev their engines for the 16th Annual Blast from the Past Car Show June 9 at Lake St. Clair Metropark.

The event, sponsored by Eaton Performance Products, is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. along Lake St. Clair. It will feature 500-600 antique, classic and muscle cars, street rods and low riders and live music, according to the Huron-Clinton Metroparks.

Mike Zelenak is scheduled to play big band and ballroom music from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 pm at the Thomas Welsh Activity Center. Show car participants may contact organizer Tom Nelson at 586-725-1309 for entry information. The car show is free, except for the required Metroparks vehicle entry permit which is $25 annually for regular admission, $15 annually for seniors, or $5 daily.
