Clinton Township Toymaker's Latest Product Named a 2013 Top Toy on 'The View'

Choose Friendship Company founder David Crorey's My Image Bracelet Maker was recently showcased at the 2013 American International Toy Fair.

A Clinton Township toymaker recently enjoyed a featured spot on ABC's The View when the show highlighted his latest product as one of seven top toys on exhibit at the 2013 American International Toy Fair in New York.

A retired auto executive and Clinton Township resident, David Crorey is the inventor of the My Friendship Bracelet Maker and founder of the now global Choose Friendship Company.

His company's latest product, the My Image Bracelet Maker, joined more than 1,000 of the world's latest toys at the Feb. 10-13 show.

"We're seeing a resurgence of really great basic, classic toys that parents are just craving to have in their household," Toy Industry insider Elizabeth Werner told hosts of The View. Crorey's creation was one of seven toys Werner highlighted as the best-of-the-best to appear at the international trade show.

A high-tech spin on Crorey's original bracelet maker, the My Image Bracelet Maker allows users to personalize their bracelets with favorite images.

Using computer software and a new Smartphone app, users can upload and crop their favorite photos or images and print them from home. These pictures can then be cut and glued to the bracelets provided.

View host Elisabeth Hasselbeck called the toy a "snow day lifesaver."

Locally, the Choose Friendship Company is also a large supporter of charitable and social causes. Last year, the company partnered with Macomb Township-based Mad Habit Media to produce a music video geared at raising awareness on bullying in schools and inspiring kids to “pay‐it‐forward” with friendship.
