The Creuse Café Offers Great Eats, Real-World Experience for Students

The café offers a quick, casual dining atmosphere, where guests are able to grab a snack to go or dine in.

The Creuse Café, the student-run restaurant at the Frederick V. Pankow Center, opens for business on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and will serve lunch every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of each week from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., excluding half days and during school  closings.

The Creuse Café provides students in L'Anse Creuse Public Schools Culinary Arts program the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the food service industry.

The café also offers an extensive catering menu, available for in-house service or pick-up.

The Creuse Café is located inside the Pankow Center at 24600 F. V. Pankow Boulevard. The students are exposed and rotated through all of the various positions within the front and back of the house while preparing food and serving guests, according to a story on the school  web site.

The café offers a quick, casual dining atmosphere, where guests are able to grab a snack to go or dine in. The café also offers  à la carte specials on soup, salad, sandwiches, entrées and desserts.

A special feature is the chef’s table, where students prepare and present diners’ food as they watch.
