Public Asked to Help L’Anse Creuse Schools Shape Strategic Plan

Two-hour "Shaping Success" session will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the John R. Armstrong Performing Arts Center.

L’Anse Creuse Public Schools is embarking on an ambitious plan to shape the future of th district with a strategic planning process to set priorities, focus energy and resources ensure that employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals, and assess the district’s direction in response to a changing environment.

“This is truly an exciting time for the entire community as each one of us has the opportunity to make a difference for our students,” the district said in a news release.

The forum, Shaping Success, will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the John R. Armstrong Performing Arts Center, 24600 Frederick Pankow Blvd., in Clinton Township.

The two hour event will begin with a motivational and enlightening presentation from well-known Oakland University professor and public education advocate, Dr. C. Robert Maxfield. Following the presentation, attendees will break into small groups to evaluate the district’s strengths, challenges, vision, mission, and beliefs. The information collected will act as the foundation for the new L’Anse Creuse Public Schools Strategic Plan.
