“Our students have been working very hard on this production,” Chippewa Valley’s new Choral Director James Pecar said in a news release. “We began rehearsal the third week of school.”
“Hairspray” is based on the 1988 stage play of a 1962 Baltimore, MD plump teenager Tracy Turnblad's dream is to dance on The Corny Collins Show, a local TV dance program. When Tracy wins a role on the show, she becomes a celebrity overnight.
