The Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce’s Waad Murad Advocacy Fund has pledged $10,000 to assist Crime Stoppers of Michigan in solving the case of Basim Sulaka, who was fatally shot during a robbery at the family shop in Clinton Township, Mich. on Friday. Crime Stoppers is offering an additional $2,500 reward.

Clinton Township Police are searching for the three suspects who entered the store at 33452 Harper at about 11 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 and fatally shot Sulaka. Police did not release additional details of the crime, but surveillance images of the robbery show the suspects wearing dark clothing and gloves.

“Our hearts are heavy for the loss of a great family and business man,” said Martin Manna, President, Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce. “Sulaka was a valued member of the Chaldean community, and we hope the reward will bring the killers to justice and prevent the senseless acts of violence that occur far too often.”
