Catering 2 You Granted Liquor Licenses for New Banquet Hall on Gratiot

Clinton Township-based Catering 2 You has purchased the former Dimitri's Rendezvous on Gratiot to house a new catering and banquet facility.

Owners of a new banquet facility located in the former Dimitri's Rendezvous building on Gratiot are one step closer to opening for business now that the Clinton Township board of trustees has approved the transfer of Class C and SDM liquor licenses.

These licenses, formerly granted to Dimitri's Rendezvous, will allow the building's new owners to serve liquor in the banquet facility during events. The board of trustees approved the transfer during their meeting Monday, Oct. 22.

Brother and sister team Frank Trucano and Lynn Nagorski purchased Dimitri’s this past summer to expand their catering company. Catering 2 You, which is currently located in the Countryside Plaza on Hayes, features a commercial kitchen and retail storefront, but does not offer on-site catering.

The new facility will host events such as weddings, showers and business meetings for up to 300 guests. Off-site catering will continue and operate out of the new location. Trucano will continue to serve as head chef.

The building, located at 36217 South Gratiot Ave., between 15 and 16 Mile roads in Clinton Township, has undergone extensive renovations to prepare for its new use as both catering and banquet facility.
