L'Anse Creuse Choirs Take Center Stage in Detroit Public Television Concert

Choirs from L'Anse Creuse High School and High School North will appear as featured groups in the "Tim Janis: Celebrate America" special on March 7.

Viewers like you who tune into Detroit Public Television March 7 will see not one, but two L'Anse Creuse choirs featured on the station's 2013 "Tim Janis: Celebrate America" broadcast.

This year, choirs from L’Anse Creuse High School, L’Anse Creuse High School North and a dozen other area schools join the Tim Janis Ensemble for Janis' annual PBS broadcast and pledge drive for Southeast Michigan.

Janis is an American composer, conductor and producer whose annual "Celebrate America" specials on public television have featured more than 15,000 students from across the country to date.

The 2013 broadcast begins at 9 p.m. Thursday, March 7, on Detroit Public Television. It runs approximately two hours.

DVDs and CDs of the choirs scheduled to perform in this production will be available for viewers who pledge that evening to support PBS.
