AAA 1-B Offers Free FEMA Training to Help Caregivers Prepare for Emergencies

Emergency planning is particularly important if you're caring for an aging or disabled loved one. Being prepared for situations like floods, tornadoes or extended power outages is important for everyone, but it's absolutely critical if you're caring for an aging loved one--who might have mobility issues, memory issues or chronic conditions that present unique challenges. The AAA 1-B will be hosting a unique training session to help family members caring for an older adult be prepared in case of natural disaster. This four-hour class will walk family caregivers through the steps of making an emergency preparedness plan with your loved one’s unique needs in mind. Best of all--it's FREE!!

The class will be presented by the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC) at the University of Hawaii. The NDPTC is a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)  training partner.
